       alone.

Trauma kills

   ■  More people between the ages of one and 44 than any other disease or illness.

   ■  More Americans each year than all those killed in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

   ■  More than 150,000 Americans and 4,500 Pennsylvanians each year.

   ■  Individuals of all ages.   One out of every 80 children born this year in the U.S. will die of a
       vehicular-induced injury, probably before the age of 25.

Trauma costs

   ■  Over $180 billion each year in medical expenses, insurance administration costs, property 
       damage, and lost productivity.
