Mini-Grants
What is the Mini-Grants program?
Mini-Grants
are made available annually to member organizations of ATSPA for the
purpose of trauma prevention educational projects. The mini-grant program
was designed to encourage member hospitals to promote trauma prevention
activities within their own communities.
What types of projects are funded?
Areas to be considered include, but are not limited to, the
following: bicycle safety, impaired driving, home safety, elderly trauma,
pedestrian safety, child safety, farm safety, anti-violence prevention,
and initiatives surrounding "Second Trauma."
How can I get involved in the Mini-Grant program?
To receive a mini-grant from ATSPA you must first be a member
organization. All mini-grant proposals are reviewed by the ATSPA grant
review committee for compliance with grant requirements, feasibility of
project, cost-effectiveness, the involvement of other organizations and
anticipated project results. Proposals must comply with all federal and
state regulations of current funding grants received by the ATSPA.
How much funding can I get for my project?
The maximum grant is
based on availability of funds within the project year, and only one grant
is awarded to any organization within any particular calendar year.
Suggested awards do not exceed $1,500.00 each. This varies from
year to year.
What is my obligation upon receiving a grant?
Following the completion
of the project period, each grant recipient is required to submit a report
of their program. If the project included pamphlets or other
publications, copies should be submitted with the final report.
