Conference Scholarships
The 2023 ATSPA conference, located at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, in Pocono Manor, PA examines issues relevant to trauma prevention and care. The 2023 conference, “Prepare. Prevent. Provide.” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25th and Wednesday, April 26th. The ATSPA conference is a great opportunity for scholarship recipients to network with over 200 physicians, nurses, social workers, and first responders as well as many exhibitors from various parts of the state. Scholarship recipients will also learn from a diverse group of speakers that will cover the most prevalent topics currently seen in Pennsylvania trauma units.
The ATSPA is pleased to offer multiple scholarships (non-monetary) for nursing students, social work students, physical/occupational therapy students, pre-medical students, and individuals enrolled in to become, or currently certified as, an emergency medical provider either at the state or national level for the ATSPA 2023 conference.
Eligibility Requirements:
The ATSPA conference will offer scholarships (non-monetary) to qualifying students and prehospital providers or trainees to cover the cost of registration and conference meals (a $450 value!). This is not a monetary scholarship and does NOT cover travel or lodging expenses.
To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be:

a student, currently enrolled in

undergraduate nursing program (Nursing Scholarship)

undergraduate premedical program (Pre-Medical Scholarship)
-
graduate physical therapy program (OT/PT Scholarship)
-
graduate occupational therapy program (OT/PT Scholarship)
-
graduate social work program (Social Work Scholarship)
-
-
Enrolled in to become, or currently certified as, an emergency medical provider either at the state or national level (EMS Scholarship)
How to Apply:
Applications will be accepted until Friday, January 27, 2023. Scholarship applicants will be informed on their application status no later than February 17, 2023. Students must provide a faculty reference that can confirm their current enrollment. Prehospital individuals who are enrolled in to become, or are currently certified as, an emergency medical provider either at the state or national level can use a medical director as a reference.

H. Arnold Muller, MD, Emergency Medicine Resident Scholarship Award
The H. Arnold Muller, MD, Emergency Medicine Resident Scholarship Award is bestowed by the PA Division of the American Trauma Society to an emergency medicine resident in Pennsylvania who displays the highest standards in professionalism and patient interaction, areas in which Dr. Muller excelled.
