Conference Scholarship Information:

The American Trauma Society, Pennsylvania Division (ATSPA) conference, located at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey PA, examines issues relevant to trauma prevention and care. Our 2020 conference, “Prepare. Prevent. Provide.” is scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd and Friday, April 3rd. The ATSPA conference is a great opportunity for students to network with over 200 physicians, nurses, social workers, and first responders as well as many exhibitors from various parts of the state. Students will also learn from a diverse group of speakers that will cover the most prevalent topics currently seen in Pennsylvania trauma units.

 

Scholarship Guidelines:

The ATSPA conference provides students pursuing degrees in nursing, social work, physical therapy or occupational therapy and pre-medical an opportunity to apply for a scholarship that covers their cost of attendance and conference meals (a $400 value!). It does not cover travel or lodging expenses. 

Applications are NOW CLOSED. Applicants will be informed about their status no later than February 7, 2020.

Eligibility Requirements:

Nursing:

Nursing students must be enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program to apply for the nursing scholarship.

 

Social Work:

Students must be enrolled in a graduate social work program to apply for the social work scholarship.

 

Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy:

Students must be enrolled in a graduate physical or occupational therapy program to apply for the physical therapy or occupational therapy scholarship.

 

Pre-Medical:

Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a medical doctorate degree to apply for the pre-medical scholarship.
